Decentralized Directorate of Culture of La Libertad

History

The first record on cultural policy in the region La Libertad was the Board that was formed by intellectuals in the field of art and culture. The November 20, 1958, Virgilio Rodriguez Nache, Monsignor Andrés Ulises Calderon, José Félix de la Puente, Victor Ganoza Plaza, Marco Antonio Corcuera, Nicanor Leon Garrido and Julio Diaz, completed the Foundation of the House of Culture of Trujillo, by Resolution Ministerial N ° 17990, on December 24, 1958. Nache Dr. Virgilio Rodríguez was appointed Founding Member and Director of the First House of Culture of Trujillo. He asked the Department of Culture, Ministry of Education official recognition and a draft statute was drafted. But in 1972, the House of Culture gives its activities and efforts of the National Institute of Culture. On 1 October 2010, the INC bases transferred to the Ministry of Culture.

Directorate of Conservation of Cultural Heritage and Museums

The Directorate develops, program monitors and evaluates the activities related to the defense, protection, restoration, research and conservation of movable and immovable cultural heritage registered at the regional level. Also Plans, coordinates, implements, monitors and evaluates the development of the activities of the Directorate in charge. Controls and monitors the activities and projects of archaeological research, conservation and restoration, through the following departments:

Department of Architecture

The Department of Architecture is responsible for the identification, evaluation , registration and preparation of projects for the protection and preservation of cultural heritage of the region . Submit the declaration of properties of type condition monumental civil , domestic , industrial, public and religious architecture.

Promote awareness and awareness of value and care for our cultural heritage through information leaflets on how to care for our heritage and protect our home to the El Niño phenomenon. Develops standards of protection yestimula citizen participation in the care of cultural property.

Reviews and approves minor works projects , as well as evaluating and issuing technical review of blueprints and architectural projects on buildings declared monuments or members of the monumental urban environments. The staff of this department conducts inspections , supervision and technical reports that contribute to the conservation of the architectural heritage of the region.

Department of Archaeological Monuments

The Department of Archaeology DDC La Libertad, is responsible for the identification, registration and protection of archaeological heritage property and furniture, as well as their preservation and conservation. Responsible for planning, executing and evaluating research projects, conservation and enhancement; the inventory and land register of the archaeological heritage of the region; carry out technical supervision of projects and foreign national archaeological research running in the region.

Department of Restoration

Performs work in conservation and restoration of tangible property and real estate, participated in the documentation of cultural property. Gives technical opinion and reports on technical competence activities, coordinates activities and restoration projects with the departments of Architecture or Archaeological Monuments. Participate in outreach activities including cultural heritage preservation and defense of movable and immovable cultural heritage.

Directorate for the Promotion of Culture

The Directorate for the Promotion of Culture DDC Freedom is the body responsible for planning, implementing propose, disseminate and promote the diverse cultural artistic activities in the region. Supports production initiative for living culture and multiculturalism with the support and coordination with public and private entities in the region. It has the power to grant the status of the non-sporting public cultural events, according to the current rule.

La Libertad's DRC Bookshop

In the library the general public will find publications issued by the Ministry of Culture on issues related to literature, history, archeology, architecture and current as the Cultural Gazette. It also has educational materials for children, such as puzzles, memory games, children's reading and selling souvenirs. Audiovisual features and documentaries based on research carried out by teams from the Ministry of Culture.

Office of Legal Advisory 

This office is responsible for taking legal defense in all processes of DDC, an opinion on the legal and legal issues, answering inquiries on the subject, prepare draft resolutions on fines and / or legal, to track the measures of management and participate in inspections predation of cultural heritage.

Trujillo's Symphony Orchestra

Trujillo's Symphony Orchestra is an official organ of the DDC La Libertad featuring the 60 year average between popular didactic functions and galas. Currently, members of the Trujillo Symphony Orchestra are directed by the teacher Theophilus Álvarez Álvarez, who has 19 years of experience and is Music Director of Symphony Orchestra Trujillo. He also teaches workshops on composing and arranging music for students of the Regional Conservatory of Music North Trujillo.

Trujillo's Ballet Company

Trujillo's Ballet Company was founded in 1961 and has since developed a strong and intense outreach in the field of academic dance. The CBT has a wide repertoire of various styles such as classical, classical, modern and contemporary neo, and its main concern and massively spread dance in all its forms to the various social strata, presenting an average of 50 performances a year in the region and the rest of the country. CBT is currently the teacher led Selene Ruiz Semba.
