Decentralized Directorate of Culture of San Martín

The Regional Directorate of Culture San Martin, in the framework of its powers and authority, is working to articulate and consensus with public and private institutions to strengthen and revaluation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the region San Martín.

Today the San Martín DDC is organized into the following areas:

Archaeology Area

Work in this area three professional specializing in archeology. Dossier evaluations are performed to obtain CIRAS (Certificates of Absence of Archaeological Remains) while making public investment projects is performed as well as working to develop different proposals for the month.

Management Area

Its function is administrative control of funds and human resources DDC. Performs related to its management coordination with headquarters.

Cultural Promotion Area

Coordinates and promotes the strengthening and cultural revaluation through its academic and other activities.

Departmental Museum Area

Exposes urns and mummies of the Chachapoyas culture and various parts of the colonial and republican. This museum exhibealgunos of regional culture icons such as: Gran Saposoa, El Gran Pajatén and Funeral Urns Chazuta.
